The site’s Impressum identifies Robert Bürger as the operator of a German sole proprietorship based in Berlin. The site publishes support contact details, and purchases are processed through Digistore24.

That level of identification is a positive signal compared with anonymous launch pages. It confirms who presents the offer; it does not independently prove software quality, support speed or commercial results.

Pricing: €29.99 is not the whole operating cost

The advertised software price is a one-time license. The actual cost of producing a book depends on which AI provider you connect, the amount of text sent and generated, the number of revisions, cover attempts and whether you run models locally.

Cost formula: model input cost + model output cost + image generations + failed attempts + editing/formatting. Current OpenAI rates are published on the official API pricing page. Because AI Book Writer supports multiple providers and does not force one fixed model, a single honest “cost per book” figure does not exist.

The biggest issues I found

1. DOCX versus PDF, EPUB and MOBI

The site’s search and social metadata advertises PDF, EPUB and MOBI exports, while its more specific workflow and FAQ copy has centered on DOCX. Until the installed version proves otherwise, buy for the clearest documented feature—not the metadata’s wish list.

2. The refund language needs one answer

The vendor’s materials have referenced both 30-day and 60-day windows, while the Terms page also contains return language that reads like generic physical-product boilerplate. The binding checkout terms shown for your purchase should be saved as a screenshot.

3. “Professional book in minutes” is a marketing claim

Fast generation proves that tokens were produced quickly. It does not prove factual accuracy, narrative continuity, original insight, legal safety or reader appeal. Professional quality is an editorial result, not a progress bar.

4. A DOCX is not automatically publication-ready

A usable KDP manuscript may still require consistent heading styles, navigation, table of contents, page and section breaks, image handling, proofreading, Kindle preview checks and print-layout adjustments. 5. Output quality has not been independently tested here

This review can evaluate the offer, public specifications and policy implications.
